Breakdown Of The New ‘Gossip Girl’ Promo

Gossip Girl is back in two weeks! The long summer months of no Chuck and Blair is over! Grab your drinks and your couture fashion, because our favorite Upper East Siders are back on September 26th! The only chance that we can cover? They’re going to be starting out the season in Hollywood, and from the looks of the previews – they’re doing pretty good on the West Coast!

Check out the preview below for the brand new season!

Alright, so now you’ve crossed over the spoiler zone. You know that Chuck takes up acting – which I’m not sure I’m going to be able to buy. He’s an entrepreneur not an actor… but we’ll see if they change my mind.

Next there’s Nate. Nate is so eager to give his heart out, and so quickly does it always backfire in his face. Let’s cut the boy a break and give him a little bit of good luck with the ladies! Then again… going after Elizabeth Hurley? He had to know that probably wasn’t going to end well.

Elizabeth Hurley has joined the show! She was set to play Veronica Cale in NBC’s failed Wonder Woman reboot. She’s got a little bit of time on her hands though since that didn’t work out. All we know so far is that she will be playing Diana Payne – “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with.” This description comes straight from executive producers Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran.

“Elizabeth’s sense of humor, intelligence and beauty fit the GG world perfectly,” the producers have said. “We feel very fortunate to have her.”

And then we have Dan… “Save the date”?! What the heck does that mean! That better not be a wedding invitation for Blair and the Prince. I was counting on that romance fizzling out over the summer, as I’m sure all my fellow Chair fans were as well.

So there we have it. The breakdown of the Gossip Girl promo. I’ll be waiting patiently on the next one to be released. Hope you guys will be ready to break it down with me as well! But until then, let me know your hopes for Season 5!
