‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Nina Dobrev Films PSA for ‘Midnight Rider’ Camera Assistant

Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev has joined Heather Locklear, Sam Underwood and a number of Hollywood crew members to film a public service announcement (PSA) in honor of the camera assistant that was tragically killed in Georgia on the set of Midnight Rider.

Sarah Jones, 27, was hit by a train while setting up shots on the set of the Allman Brothers biopic in February, and her death prompted an outpouring of grief in the movie industry.

A number of stars have now filmed a new PSA, titled We Are, Sarah Jones, to honor her memory and call for increased safety measures on film and TV sets.

In the clip, Locklear is seen holding up a sign which reads “Team Sarah” while Dobrev holds a placard emblazoned with the slogan “#Safety For Sarah”.

Others to take part in the project include The Following star Underwood and Plunkett & Macleane director Jake Scott, as well numerous other production workers, from make-up artists to craft services workers.
