Stacey Dash Bashes Kanye West for Comparing Paparazzi Attention to Rape

Stacey Dash has criticized Kanye West for comparing paparazzi attention to sexual assault, insisting the rapper should spend time in jail to “know what rape is”.

The Clueless star, who played West’s girlfriend in the music video for his song “All Falls Down,” recently joined America’s Fox News Network as a regular contributor, and the hip-hop star’s controversial comments were discussed during her TV appearance on Tuesday.

West is said to have ranted about celebrity snappers during a gig in Britain over the weekend, with multiple concertgoers reporting that he compared facing the paparazzi on the streets to being “raped”.

Dash waded into the debate over his comments, and slammed West for misunderstanding such a serious subject, saying, “For Kanye to say, ‘rape,’ maybe he needs to spend some time on (New York prison) Rikers Island… You know, go to Rikers for a little while. And then he’ll know what rape is. I don’t get celebrities not understanding that the paparazzi are doing their job.”
