Robbie Amell Joins ‘The Flash’

Robbie Amell is joining the cast of superhero TV series The Flash as one half of DC Comics duo Firestorm.

The star will portray maintenance worker Ronnie Raymond, who plays a key role in transforming Grant Gustin’s character Barry Allen into The Flash.

In the comics, Raymond is involved in a nuclear accident with physicist Martin Stein which allows them to fuse together to create the superhero Firestorm.

The role in the Arrow spin-off (Fun fact: Arrow stars Robbie’s cousin Stephen Amell as the titular character) reunites Robbie with his The Tomorrow People producer Greg Berlanti, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Amell says, “I’m so excited to join forces with Greg Berlanti and The CW again on The Flash. Being brought into the DC Universe is a dream, I can’t wait to get started!”

The Flash will premiere on The CW in October.

  1. I loved both these boys in the Arrow and The Tmrw people which I wish was still on 😉 Its extremely nice to talk about real actors with Talent. Im so sick of the Kardashian. Its the same song same show no talent needed except the youngest two sidters who models . Amell brothers keep up yhr good work. Look forward to seeing you in good shows and movies as well as Felicity, Laurel, Mr. Diggle, Roy, Sarah and her dad. Im so glad you ladies can can look sexy, stunningly beautiful with out your boobs hanging out or your leg up to your girl parts for all the world to see. My girls never felt the need to be raunchy and know how to dress elegantly which can also be sexy. Your shows are family watchable now with a good story line. I am assuming Robbie new show will be that way too. The boys are hot, the women are sexy not smutty and you have talent…real awesome talent. Keep up the good work. God bless. Stacy Thornhill
