CW Creating ‘Green Arrow’ Series

A Green Arrow television series is in the works for The CW. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg will write and executive produce the show based on the DC comic book character.

The character in the DC universe is Oliver Queen, a billionaire who leads a double life as costumed archer Green Arrow. He’s been a member of the Justice League and mayor of his hometown of Star City. The character was previously played by Justin Hartley in Smallville, where he eventually became a regular cast member. It is unclear if the series will be connected to Smallville, though Hartley is currently up for the role.

  1. Would be better to join with the series Smallville, Smallville Why Ja and a host of heroes That’s why I was going to be a series Incredible people around the world would watch, and great would that be the series have the name of The League Of Justisa Will Be A Fine Series with this Perfect Name!

  2. I feel like the only show of this nature that they’ve been successful with though was Smallville. And I think that’s because it started on The WB 🙂 I won’t give CW credit for that one. haha 🙂

  3. Hmm. It seems odd to have a show about the Green Arrow on the same network as Smallville and not have it take place in the Smallville universe and star Justin Hartley. They’re obviously targeting the same audience that watched Smallville, so it seems like that would be kind of confusing. But Greg Berlanti is behind it, so it will probably be good either way.

  4. I don’t know about this, the past couple of SuperHero movies and tv shows didn’t turn out very well. Hope this one will be better.
