NBC’s ‘Munsters’ Reboot Gets New Name – ‘Mockingbird Lane’

NBC’s planned reboot of The Munsters is getting a new name. TV Line reports that Bryan Fuller and Brian Singer’s contemporary, camp-free update of the classic sitcom will now be called Mockingbird Lane, a reference to the street that the family lives on.

  1. Wow. This should be interesting to check out. It’ll never be as good as the original series unless it takes a new spin on the concept. Guess I’ll have to wait and see before judging it.

  2. Well I guess this is one way to distance itself a bit from the original. However people will still realize it is The Munsters. Give me a break.

  3. In other words they’re wasting their time recreating a show into a watered-down version that’ll end up flopping in the ratings. Good luck with that NBC!
