NBC’s ‘Munsters’ Reboot Gets New Name – ‘Mockingbird Lane’

NBC’s planned reboot of The Munsters is getting a new name. TV Line reports that Bryan Fuller and Brian Singer’s contemporary, camp-free update of the classic sitcom will now be called Mockingbird Lane, a reference to the street that the family lives on.

The project is currently in the casting stage. We’ll keep you posted as more details surface!

  1. Wow. This should be interesting to check out. It’ll never be as good as the original series unless it takes a new spin on the concept. Guess I’ll have to wait and see before judging it.

  2. Well I guess this is one way to distance itself a bit from the original. However people will still realize it is The Munsters. Give me a break.

  3. In other words they’re wasting their time recreating a show into a watered-down version that’ll end up flopping in the ratings. Good luck with that NBC!
