Steve Carell is set to star in Disney’s family adventure Brooklyn Family Robinson. Carell will also produce with his partners at Carousel Productions (Charlie Hartsock and Vance DeGeneres). They are working with Disney-based David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films. David Reynolds (Finding Nemo) will write the script, based on an idea by Reynolds, Hartsock and DeGeneres.
Plot details are few, but the film will follow the head of a family, played by Carell, who moves his family from the city to an island. Carell is reuniting with Disney after starring in Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day, which opens on October 10.
