If You Have a Bill Murray Ice Cream Social, Bill Murray May Show Up

National treasure Bill Murray surprised a group of locals in Los Angeles on Tuesday by showing up unannounced at an ice cream party held in his honour.

The owner of CVT Soft Serve hosted an impromptu Bill Murray Ice Cream Social at his store to share his love of the Ghostbusters star, and he extended an invite to the cast and crew of Murray’s new movie after rumors emerged suggesting they were shooting in the neighbourhood.

The businessman tells Gawker, “Long story short, the guest of honor made it to the party and the rest is history. Like my dad always says, ‘You’ll never dance with the pretty girl unless you ask’.”

He also shared a number of photos of himself posing with his hero as the veteran actor enjoyed one of his sweet treats on Instagram.

Murray, 63, has made it a habit to make unexpected appearances at special events – in May ,he crashed a bachelor party in South Carolina and shared his advice on marriage, and last month , he surprised a couple in Charleston, South Carolina by joining the pair for its official engagement photos.
