Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are developing a TV series based on the Evil Dead franchise. It was announced during a panel at this year’s Comic-Con covering The Last of Us adaptation.

Raimi said that his brother Ivan is also writing the series with Sam and Bruce.

The Evil Dead remake, which was directed by Fede Alvarez, was released in April 2013 by Columbia Pictures and earned nearly $100 million worldwide. It was rumored that the remake series would eventually tie into the classic series.

If Raimi gets his wish, the Deadites are going to arrive on TV soon to show the The Walking Dead “walkers” how it’s done.
