Simon Pegg Quits the Gym After Tom Cruise’s Fitness Tips

Simon Pegg has thrown in the towel and gave up exercising to get in shape after becoming overwhelmed by Tom Cruise’s rigorous workout regime.

The Shaun of the Dead star decided to tone up his physique when he was in his late 30s, and he turned to his Mission: Impossible co-star for tips on the best way to get fit at the gym.

However, he soon abandoned his exercise plan and vowed to rely on clean living instead after Cruise detailed an intimidating schedule of lifts, stretches, and sprints.

Pegg tells British magazine Event, “I thought I’d ask Tom Cruise for some exercise tips. He’s 51, looks fantastic. I was asking what he did after filming because I thought if I had his secret I’d do the same. And then he told me – like two hours of wind sprints, things I hadn’t even heard of, endless hours of it. So I thought f**k that… I’ll just watch what I eat.”
