Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Host’ Trailer Is Now Available!

For those of you that don’t know Stephenie Meyer has in fact written more than just the Twilight series. She also wrote the The Host several years ago. The Host is aimed at an older audience and a tells the story about the survival of love and the human spirit in a time of war. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy – and humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed.

Take a look at the brand new trailer that was released today that will air in front of The Hunger Games this weekend!

I don’t think Stephenie Meyer is capable of creating something where all the characters have normal eyes. And while these pretty blues may be more inticing than the red and golden eyes that we saw in Twilight, I’m not sure this will be another Twilight for her. I’ve read The Host, and while I enjoyed the read – it definitely didn’t feel like it would be as loved as her previous work.

What do you guys think? Will The Host be as popular as Twilight? Sound off in our comment section below!

  1. Yeah I’m not feeling the trailer either. I get that it’s still really far out and it’s just a teaser… but I’m not too excited by it.

  2. I thought the book was great, I loved the whole story. The teaser trailer was kinda lame, but I’m trying not to judge it yet. I definitely think they shouldn’t mention Stephanie Meyers or The Twilight Saga though haha. I think a lot of people will refuse to watch it just because of that.
