Edgar Wright to Direct ‘Grasshopper Jungle’

Edgar Wright has certainly found plenty to do since leaving Ant-Man. After recently signing on to write and direct Baby Driver, the Shaun of the Dead director is now attached to Sony’s Grasshopper Jungle.

Wright will direct the adaptation of a young adult novel about a group of Midwestern teenagers who are dealing with the awkwardness and hormones of puberty and are the cause of a terrifying plague that leads to 6-foot-tall praying mantises. The film is being written by Scott Rosenberg (Gone in Sixty Seconds), who is also producing.

The film won’t affect his involvement with Baby Driver, which is his next project, and will be taken on after Baby Driver is done.
