NBC Orders J.J. Abrams & Eric Kripke’s Post-Apocalyptic Project ‘Revolution’

J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke’s new post-apocalyptic project tentatively titled Revolution has been given a series order by NBC. The pilot, which filmed in Atlanta, Georgia this past March, is described as an “epic adventure thriller”.

Revolution tells the store of a family that struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American world. Cities are now devoid of people, the local militia is full of freedom fighters, and every piece of technology that we’ve ever known – is dead. Revolution stars Billy Burke, David Lyons, Giancarlo Esposito, Tracy Spiradakos, Graham Rogers, Anna Lise Phillips, Tim Guinee, Zak Orth, J.D. Pardo, and Andrea Roth.

NBC will be the first to reveal their 2012-2013 line-up next week when all the major networks will present their new season line-ups to advertisers in New York. We’ll keep you posted throughout the week as all the news on what’s coming and what’s not coming back is made official.
