‘Once Upon A Time’ Renewed For Second Season

ABC has officially renewed Once Upon a Time for a second season. The news came from executive producer/co-creator Adam Horowitz, who tweeted the following:

“It’s official — #OnceUponATime has been picked up for season 2. Thank you all so much for watching, we’re beyond thrilled to continue on!”

The show’s renewal chances were never really doubted due to its ratings success. No official word on the episode count, but it is expected to be for a full season.

  1. Thanks Jacob! This is amazing news! I’ve tuned into the show since episode one and it only seems to be getting better and better. I hope throughout season two the show keeps it’s ‘magic’ – I’ve been skeptical since we’ve been given more and more information on character backgrounds throughout each episode on how the creators will keep up the storyline when Emma finally believes and sets out to bring Storybrooke back to it’s roots – thus bringing back the magic. Will they put a new-age spin on the magic? For sure everyone won’t travel back to before the curse was put on them all I’m hoping? This is where I find Grimm [another fairytale formulated show I love] has the advantage here as their plot will be ever-continuing since their isn’t a ‘master plan’, whereas Once Upon A Time is all riding on the moment Emma lifts the curse — what will happen when the moment finally arrives?
