T.I. and ‘Mad Men’ Star John Slattery Join ‘Ant-Man’

Marvel’s Ant-Man movie has had a bit of a hard time getting off the ground, but now it’s been given a big boost – rapper T.I. and Mad Men star John Slattery have joined the cast of the stalled film.

The pair will join fellow newcomers Bobby Cannavale and Judy Greer in the movie, which Corey Stoll, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas are attached to.

The film experienced problems when director Edgar Wright quit earlier this year; he has been replaced by Peyton Reed, who began principal photography on the project in San Francisco, California on Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rudd will play the title character, Douglas his mentor Dr. Hank Pym, Lilly as Pym’s daughter and Stoll the villain, Yellowjacket.

Ant-Man is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.

Are you excited about the film, despite the hard time it had during pre-production?
