‘The Vampire Diaries’ Begins Season 4 Production In Atlanta Before Heading To Comic Con

CW’s The Vampire Diaries begins production on Season 4 today in Atlanta! The cast will be able to get a few days of work in before they jet off to San Diego at the end of the week to attend San Diego Comic Con 2012, where the cast will take part in a panel on Saturday.

Vampire Diaries cast members tweeted over the weekend as they returned to Atlanta to begin filming. We have some of those tweets for you below.

‏@iansomerhalder: Wheels down in Hotlanta. Night y’all

‏@Michael_Trevino: LA ✈ ATL

@JosephMorgan: Hear there’s a table read for ep1 of a certain show tomorrow… 😉

And we may have one possible spoiler for you… don’t click on the next link unless you’re okay with spoiling yourself. A certain character looks like they may be returning for at least one episode of Season 4. That’s all the spoilerish information we have right now, but we’ll keep you posted on more Season 4 spoilers as they surface though!

If you’re heading out to Comic Con this week and want to catch The Vampire Diaries panel – be sure to line up early for Ballroom 20. The panel for the series officially begins at 3:30pt and goes until 4:15pm, but just like previous years – the line up for the panel will start hours earlier if you want to get in and have a good seat! Expect to see Nina Dobrev (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Paul Wesley (Roll Bounce), Ian Somerhalder (LOST), Michael Trevino (Cane), and Zach Roerig (Friday Night Lights) as well as executive producers/writers Kevin Williamson (Scream) and Julie Plec (Kyle XY) for a video screening and Q&A session.

Also, be sure to submit your questions for the cast to us on Twitter or on our forums – we will ask as many of your questions directly to the cast as we can!
