NBC Gives ‘Revolution’ A Full Season Order

NBC has officially ordered a full season of the freshman series Revolution. The news doesn’t come as a big surprise, as the debut episode was ranked as NBC’s best drama premiere in adults 18-49 in the last five years. The last premiere to be as successful on the network? That would be the Bionic Woman in 2007.

Revolution has continued to show strong staying power with episodes 2 and 3. Currently the series (which is backed by the masterminds of J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke) has average 10 million viewers per week and a 3.6 demo. Not too shabby!

Revolution wasn’t the only new series that got some love from NBC. The network also ordered full seasons of Go On and The New Normal.

“We’re impressed with the imagination and creative direction of the entire team on Revolution, not to mention the immediately strong response we got from the audience,” said NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke in a statement. “We’re also very proud of our new comedy block of Go On and The New Normal.”

Are you guys happy to hear that Revolution will get a full season? Sound off with your thoughts about the new series below! We’d love to debate theories with you guys!

  1. I am happy that we will get a full season I am really enjoying the show. Crossing my fingers that we don’t loose it like so many other shows.

  2. I was underwhelmed by the pilot but decided to give Revolution another watch. The second episode was saved by the appearance of Elizabeth Mitchell in flashbacks and current day scenes. The third episode dragged a bit but glad NBC decided to go ahead and give it a full season. Too often networks cancel a show after one or two episodes before the show has an opportunity to tell its story.

  3. Yeah hopefully the story will get a chance to expand. The show needs a chance to find its footing – at which point I expect the bar to be raised 🙂
