Kendrick Lamar Facing Lawsuit Over ‘Rigamortis’

Kendrick Lamar has been hit with legal action from two musicians who allege he copied their work for his track “Rigamortis”.

The hip-hop star is accused of taking the music from a song named “The Thorn,” which was created by Eric Reed and Willie Jones III in 2010.

In the lawsuit, the pair claims Lamar’s track “Rigamortis,” from his 2011 debut album Section.80, is the same as “The Thorn” musically, but features the rapper’s own lyrics.

According to TMZ, Reed and Jones were never given money or a credit for the track and are suing Lamar for at least $1 million. They are also seeking all the profits from “Rigamortis” and rights to the song.

This is not the first time Lamar has faced plagiarism allegations. In July, representatives for The Alan Parsons Project rock band filed legal papers claiming he used elements of their song “Old and Wise” without permission.
