Leaked Celebrity Nudes Reportedly Being Turned Into Art Exhibit

Intimate pictures of celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton will reportedly form part of a new art exhibition in Florida in October.

The snaps were leaked on the Internet on Sunday and many female stars, including Kirsten Dunst and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, have spoken out to condemn the breach of their privacy.

Now officials at Cory Allen Contemporary Art (CACA) have announced the unaltered nudes will go on display at their gallery in St. Petersburg, Florida as part the No Delete show, created by artist XVALA as part of his Fear Google campaign.

Cory Allen says, “XVALA appropriating celebrity compromised images and the overall ‘Fear Google’ campaign has helped strengthen the ongoing debate over privacy in the digital era… The commentary behind this show is a reflection of who we are today. We all become ‘users’ and in the end, we become ‘used’.”

The exhibition will feature intimate or vulnerable snaps of celebrities which XVALA has collected from Google over a seven-year period. It will also include a picture of Britney Spears with her shaved head and leaked nudes of Scarlett Johansson.

XVALA says, “In today’s culture, everybody wants to know everything about everybody. An individual’s privacy has become everyone else’s business… It has become cash for cache.”

The exhibition will open on October 30.
