Simone Battle of GRL has Passed Away
Pop star Simone Battle has died at the age of 25.
The G.R.L. band member and former The X Factor U.S. contestant was found dead at her home in West Hollywood, California on Friday. Her death is reportedly being investigated as a suspected suicide.
The singer made it to the live show rounds of the reality TV show in 2011 and the following year, she joined five-piece girl group G.R.L. Their debut single “Ugly Heart” was released in the U.S. in June.
The X Factor judge Simon Cowell paid tribute to her on Twitter, writing, “I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person. It’s such a loss. Rest in peace Simone.”
