Extended ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Trailer Gives Us a Peek Under the Big Top

Last night during an episode of The Strain, FX premiered the highly-anticipated extended trailer for American Horror Story: Freak Show and now the wait seems even longer because the trailer was just that awesome.

The trailer gives us an up-close look at Kathy Bates’ impressive beard, Angela Basset’s extra assets, a two headed Sarah Paulson and a super-strong Michael Chiklis. We also catch a glimpse of ladies man Evan Peters, whose father is Chiklis’ character (judging by the poster, Peters may have inherited his father’s strength). Finally, we see a stunning Jessica Lange with a dress reminiscent of the big top she’s in charge of as she sashays through the hallways of her freak show looking as confident as ever.

According to the network, this season begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

If you liked the song that goes along with the trailer as much as we did, here’s the audio for you!
