‘No Good Deed’ Star Idris Elba and His Former ‘The Wire’ Co-Star Dominic West Reunite for ‘Finding Dory’

Former The Wire co-stars Idris Elba and Dominic West are reuniting to voice characters in the upcoming sequel to Finding Nemo.

Elba and West played a drug kingpin and a homicide detective in the acclaimed crime drama 10 years ago, and now the British actors are coming back together for the family-friendly animated film, Finding Dory.

In an interview with ShortList magazine, West says he keeps in contact with most of his friends from The Wire, and let it slip that they’re both in Pixar’s sequel to the 2003 blockbuster.

West reveals, “I saw Idris recently. We’re both in the sequel to Finding Nemo, so we were recording that. I’m in pretty regular contact with a lot of guys from The Wire – a lot of them are godparents to my kids, so I love them dearly.”

Finding Dory features comedienne Ellen DeGeneres reprising her role as titular fish Dory, along with returning actors Albert Brooks and Willem Dafoe. Ty Burrell, Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton join as newcomers to the franchise.

Finding Dory is slated to hit cinemas in June, 2016.
