London Officials Say George Clooney’s Marriage Not Happening Today

Officials at a London town hall have issued a notice denying George Clooney’s marriage will take place there today, as it has been rumored.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Hollywood actor would tie the knot with British lawyer Amal Alamuddin in London on Friday ahead of their extravagant Italian ceremony later this month.

Dozens of fans gathered outside Chelsea Town Hall on Friday for a glimpse of the Hollywood superstar, forcing bosses of the venue to deny the civil ceremony will be taking place.

In a notice posted outside the building, they urged bystanders to leave, stating, “We are NOT conducting the wedding of Mr Clooney at this office today (Friday 12th September) and a… (crowd) would only cause plausible disruption to other couples getting married on this day.”

Clooney is set to wed in Venice, Italy this month.
