After creative differences put the project on hold, the National Lampoon’s Vacation reboot is back on schedule! The film, fronted by Ed Helms, will begin filming in Atlanta on Monday.
The original dispute, which caused the delay in production, was said to be between those that wanted the film to be R-rated as the original film was – whereas others wanted to make it more accessible to younger audiences with a PG-13 rating.
We do that joining Ed Helms (who will play an all grown Rusty Griswold) will be Christina Applegate (who will play his wife) along with Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins (their two sons).
We also hear that the project will be filming at the Olympic Flame Restaurant on Marietta Boulevard this coming Tuesday (September 16). The restaurant will be closing down at 2pm for shooting.
We’ll keep you posted as more news on National Lampoon’s Vacation filming as it surfaces!
