‘A Walk Among the Tombstones’ Star Liam Neeson Wants a Part in ‘Downton Abbey’

Liam Neeson is hoping his pal Dan Stevens can pull strings to land him a role as a stableman in Downton Abbey.

The actor stars with Stevens in new crime movie A Walk Among the Tombstones and he wants his onscreen colleague to suggest his name to producers of the hit period drama.

He tells U.K. TV network London Live, “Maybe Dan could have a word with them. I must speak to him. Maybe I could be a stableman or something. I definitely wouldn’t cut the hierarchy, ya know?”

Neeson would not be the only Hollywood heavyweight to feature in the show – George Clooney has shot an amusing scene featuring a kiss he’ll share with Maggie Smith for a comedy mini-episode of Downton Abbey for broadcast during a U.K. Christmas charity fundraiser in December.

I’m sure the producers over at Downton can find a more suitable role for Liam than a “stableman”! What part would you like to see Liam play on the show? Let us know in the comments below.
