August Alsina has reached out to fans from his hospital bed after waking up from a three-day coma following his concert collapse in New York on Monday night.
The “No Love” singer lost consciousness midway through his performance and stumbled off stage and into the crowd.
He was admitted to a local medical center, where Alsina’s representative revealed he was being treated in an intensive care unit after suffering several seizures brought on by exhaustion and dehydration.
He has since regained consciousness and has wasted no time in assuring fans he is on the road to recovery via Instagram.
On Friday, Alsina shared a photo of himself in his hospital bed with his best friend by his side, and in the caption, he wrote, “This is a bit graphic but i wanted to share this w/ (with) every follower of mine. iWoke (sic) up out of a 3 day coma… &This guy @banggang_moneyteam right here never once left my side. What I’m tryna (sic) say is cherish the ones in life who cherish you & take good care of yourself. Your life can be gone in a split second’. I’m recovering well and thankyou (sic) for all of your prayers & concerns.”
Alsina had to scrap a show in Cincinnati, Ohio on Tuesday due to his hospitalization. It is not yet known when he will be well enough to return to the stage, but dates scheduled until early October are still live on his website.
We wish August a speedy recovery.
