Beauty Review: NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation

It’s officially Fall and with the new season, NARS Cosmetics is introducing their All Day Luminous Powder Foundation. I recently got to test out the foundation, and unintentionally put it through the roughest test I could.

Universal Studios Orlando had me down to check out their Halloween Horror Nights event, and not wanting to worry about re-applying or touching up my makeup for the evening – I went with the Luminous Powder Foundation. Unfortunately it rained, and while I kept my face dry – I was rather concerned that the Florida humidity from the storm was going to have me not looking my best. The compact was small enough to fit in my purse, and while I did touch up once about 5 hours into the event – that was all I needed.

When it comes to makeup, I like to keep things subtle. I’m one of the palest people you’ll meet, but I embrace it and don’t try to cover it with lots of brozers or fake tan products. I like my freckles to show through my foundation, and I want my skin to appear smooth and even-toned without it being noticeable that I have anything on. I credit that as my beauty secret that has most strangers I meet thinking I’m 20, when I’m about to turn 31.

NARS at the Beach

The subtle but versatile coverage is what I really liked about this product from NARS. Complete with SPF 24, it offers coverage and shine control for up to 12-hours. It works for a night out or a trip to the beach (as tested above)!

NARS exclusive Light Reflecting Complex™ optimizes light reflection to enhance skin’s translucency while Luminosity Enhancing Technology – a blend of 17 amino acids, Vitamin C derivative and Marine Fennel – promotes cell renewal and helps reduce the look of hyper-pigmentation and wrinkles.

NARS’ All Day Luminous Powder Foundation is available now at NARS Boutiques and narscosmetics.com.
