‘Under The Dome’ Renewed For Second Season

CBS has renewed Under The Dome. During the network’s TCA presentation this week, they announced that a second season of the adaptation of Stephen King’s novel will return next summer.

King will write the season 2 premiere.

Under The Dome was originally created for Showtime, but the series has performed strong and steady for CBS. Its ratings continue to grow, with the most recent drawing 2.7/8 and 11.4 million in the fast nationals last week.

  1. I am undecided as to if I will continue to watch this show … I am disappointed in the kidnapping story line and how it has been portrayed, especially the father’s reaction in not letting the girl loose immediately and in how he has dealt with son about this illegal, sick and perverted behavior.

  2. I watched the first episode, but it just didn’t hook me. I’m rather surprised it’s getting good viewership and a renewal.

  3. I am glad that it has been renewed for a second season. As it is a show I can watch with my girls that we enjoy.
