‘Breaking Bad’ Prequel ‘Better Call Saul’ Ordered By AMC

Rumors had been circulating for months that a Breaking Bad spin-off was in the works, and it has now been confirmed that AMC has ordered Better Call Saul. The new series will be a prequel that will focus on Walter White’s shady but lovable lawyer Saul Goodman.

The series will focus on the evolution of Goodman before he became White’s defender. It’s possible that Bob Odenkirk will not be inhabiting the role as the show may be depicting Goodman at younger age.

Better Call Saul is bypassing the traditional pilot process and will be going straight to series. No word yet on how soon fans can expect the new series to fill the void that Breaking Bad will leave on September 29th with its series finale.

  1. I am kinda in between being excited on seeing Saul Goodman again but being a bit let down with it being a Prequel. Also i can’t imagine Goodman portrayed by any other actor.
Let’s see how the show turns out though. Who is writing it?

  2. It’s now being confirmed by Variety that Bob Odenkirk will be playing Saul. 🙂 And Peter Gould who wrote on all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad will be spearheading the project 🙂
