Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Gets US Margaret Trailer and DLC Prices

Wrapping up the character trailers before the release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Atlus USA has released one last trailer for the playable roster. Margaret, the third and final DLC fighter for Ultimax finally gets her own American release trailer, and to go alongside that a whole slate of DLC news has been announced as well for those who wish to enhance their game-playing experience a little.

First, and quite possibly the biggest DLC news of the batch, is Margaret. Originally from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 as the game’s Velvet Room resident alongside Igor, she finally gets her Grimoire and multiple Personas ready to step into the ring. The previous game, Persona 4 Arena, only had her sister, Elizabeth, as a playable character. While both fighters are extremely reliant upon their Personas to stay alive in a fight, that’s one of the only similarities they share. Margaret herself has a more aggressive feeling to her it seems from the trailer than Elizabeth had on her own, but quite possibly the biggest difference is the fact Margaret fights with 3 Personas in combat. As opposed to all other Persona users just having one to control, she’ll be able to smack her foes around with Cu Chulainn, Yoshitsune, and Ardha. Margaret also has something interesting to note: by having a whopping 8 Persona cards, this acts like a double-edged sword for her. On one hand her Personas can take more hits than everyone else in the roster. On the other hand, once she gets Persona broken, she’ll have the longest reload time out of the roster, leaving her vulnerable for a much longer amount of time than anyone else. Her trailer can be viewed below.

Margaret will be available as DLC on October 7th, and will cost $5 for players looking to complete the roster. This is unlike the first two characters, Tohru Adachi and Marie, who will be free to download on launch week and then will revert to paid DLC to those who missed the free window on October 7th, and those two will also sell for $5 each at that time. In addition to characters, there are more pieces of DLC planned to release, and even loyal players from the first game will see DLC they purchased before transfer over for free to Ultimax, according to various pages of the official American website for the game. This specifically applies to previously purchased Navigators, as well as alternate colors and glasses for the returning fighters. Prices for various pieces of DLC are listed below.

Complete P4A Story — $9.99
Glasses Packs — $1.99 each, or $5.99 full set
Additional Colors — $1.99 each, or $5.99 full set
Navigator Voices — $2.99 each, various set prices. Yosuke, Teddie, Aigis, Nanako, Mitsuru, Adachi, and Fuuka will be available Sept. 30, rest of the cast available on Oct. 7

The website also lists a few additional pieces of DLC and their prices. For example, music packs will be available, with prices ranging from $1.99 to $2.99 depending on the pack. There are three free songs to download as well. Network Avatars will also be available for the PS3 version exclusive lobby mode where you can use a chibi 3D model to interact and start matches with other players, with prices ranging from free to $0.99. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax launches in America this Tuesday, September 30th.
