Michael Strahan to Make Feature Film Debut in ‘Magic Mike XXL’

The cast of this sequel just keeps getting better and better! Sportsman-turned-TV host Michael Strahan is set to make his feature film acting debut in the Magic Mike sequel.

Strahan has lobbied to be in the film since he heard the original was in production and now star and producer Channing Tatum has given him a part in the latest movie.

The ex-New York Giants star says, “I’m getting ready to do something that’s making me really nervous. I’m about to do something that started as a joke… and I decided to reenact something from his movie (on morning show Live! With Kelly & Michael) and so then he kept messing around with me and he wrote me into the next Magic Mike XXL movie…”

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Banks and Donald Glover have joined the all-star cast, which also features Jada Pinkett Smith, Amber Heard and Andie MacDowell.

The film is scheduled to be released on July 3.
