Upvotes All Around! Snoop Dogg and Jared Leto Invest in Reddit

Snoop Dogg and actor/singer Jared Leto have become investors in Reddit.

Site bosses have raised over $50 million in fundraising and count the rapper and Dallas Buyers Club star among their supporters.

A statement released on Thursday reads:

“We’re planning to use this money to hire more staff for product development, expand our community management team, build out better moderation and community tools, work more closely with third party developers to expand our mobile offerings…, improve our self-serve ad product, build out redditgifts marketplace, pay for our growing technical infrastructure, and all the many other things it takes to support a huge and growing global internet community.”

The site is best known for its candid Ask Me Anything interviews with celebrities.

Snoop has been an outspoken supporter of r/trees, a subreddit located within the site that serves as an online community for those who are fans of marijuana.
