Are David Lynch and Mark Frost Working on ‘Twin Peaks’ Again?

Twin Peak fans got a bit of excitement on Friday when a rather cryptic message from creators David Lynch and Mark Frost was sent out on Twitter. The tweet suggested that Lynch and Frost might just be working on the cult drama series again.

Lynch wrote, “Dear Twitter friends: That gum you like is going to come back in style! #damngoodcoffee (sic).”

The quote comes from a repeated dream sequence in the show, while the hashtag refers to the line Kyle MacLachlan’s caffeine-loving character Agent Dale Cooper said over and over again.

Frost retweeted Lynch’s message.

The 1990’s show was cancelled after just two seasons, but director Lynch and producer Frost have often been asked about revisiting the series, which revolved around the mysterious death of small town high school sweetheart Laura Palmer.

In recent years, the Blue Velvet filmmaker has hinted at taking another shot at Twin Peaks, and now it looks like he means business.
