Mariah Carey Throws Serious Shade at Nick Cannon During Concert

Mariah appeared to take aim at her estranged husband Nick Cannon by changing the lyrics to a song during a concert in Japan on Saturday, suggesting his infidelity was the cause of their break-up.

Carey is said to have separated from Cannon earlier this year, after six years of marriage, and although she has yet to speak publicly about the split, she allegedly aired her feelings while performing a cover of Billie Holiday’s cheating track “Don’t Explain” on the opening night of her Elusive Chanteuse World Tour in Tokyo.

In audio footage of the gig, Carey is clearly heard replacing the line, “And I know you cheat/Right or wrong, don’t matter” with the words, “I know you cheated, motherf**ker”.

Carey’s Tokyo show hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons – fans took to social networking sites at the weekend to complain about the singer’s performance after she struggled to hit the high notes throughout the gig.

The superstar is due to continue touring Southeast Asia and Australia until mid-November.

Listen to the audio below and keep an ear out for the lyric change around the 4:30 mark, then let us know what you think!
