SyFy Planning Beowulf Series
Syfy is planning a TV series, based off of the famous poem, Beowulf. Matt Greenberg (1408) is attached to write the series.
Beowulf follows a Scandinavian hero whose adventures begin with the slaying of a feared monster, Grendel. In 2007, it was adapted for the big screen by Robert Zemeckis.
Beowulf comes to Syfy as the network is prepping several other new series including 12 Monkeys, Dominion (a take on the 2010 feature Legion, Bryan Fuller’s High Moon and Gale Anne Hurd’s Alien Hunter.
Saw the movie and will give the series a watch.
It could be good. I liked the story and the movie was cool, in part because it was animated very well.
