I’m thinking Rumplestiltskin gets out of the box and sacrifices himself to save Henry. He’s mentioned the only way to defeat Pan is to die himself. The box was the only other way to do it and that failed. So this would be the logical conclusion. Plus he gets to be redeemed in everyone else’s eyes.
