‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Ian Somerhalder Talks Bonnie, Fans and Family

Ian Somerhalder recently stopped by Access Hollywood to talk about the new season of The Vampire Diaries, living in Georgia, fans and of course the “Bamon” relationship.

Delena fans may be discouraged that Ian didn’t bring up Elena, but fans of Damon and Bonnie got a little something to make them smile.

“Kat Graham and I love being together. We have the same acting coach – Ivana Chubbuck. All of our work we do together, and then with her, and then we do separately. It’s a really cool way to work,” Ian commented. “It’s good to have the banter between Bonnie and Damon. It’s a lot of fun, because I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but it’s a bit of a heavy show.”

Ian also spoke a bit about social media, and when questioned about whether or not he even fights with his fan family, Ian briefly paused (we couldn’t help but think he might have been thinking about this.)

“You try not to. You always want to spread kindness, gratefulness and mindfulness,” Ian replied. “And sometimes, I think it’s worth – there’s a bit of value in saying, ‘hey man, I can appreciate what you’re saying, but I really hope that you can restructure that frame of mind.”

We don’t think Ian could have said it any better. All that should matter is that he is happy – and we don’t think we’ve ever seen him happier!
