NBC Orders ‘Constantine’ Pilot

NBC has ordered a pilot for a series based on the DC/Vertigo book Constantine. The pilot was written by David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist), and is believed to focus on the more “family-oriented” New 52 take on the character.

The character is an Alan Moore creation, having first appeared in Swamp Thing in 1985 before getting his own series in 1988. John Constatine is an antihero magical detective and con man. He was previously seen on screen in 2005’s Constantine starring Keanu Reeves.

We’ll keep you posted as more details surface on Constantine.

  1. As long as it’s not yet another supernatural crime procedural in an already crowded field, I’ll like it. Unfortunately, all signs point to that so I guess we’ll see if it’s worth watching or not.
