Bill Cosby Cancels Queen Latifah Interview

Bill Cosby has pulled out of plans to sit down for an interview with rapper-turned-TV host Queen Latifah after he was branded “a rapist” during a top comic’s stand-up show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Cosby Show star had been booked to appear on an upcoming episode of The Queen Latifah Show, but the chat was scrapped this week, days after funnyman Hannibal Buress hit headlines for taking aim at the 77-year-old during a controversial routine.

Sources tell TMZ TV producers wanted to distance themselves from the controversy and pulled the plug on Cosby’s visit, but a spokesperson for the show has since cleared up the claims.

A statement released to The Hollywood Reporter reads: “Mr. Cosby’s scheduled appearance on The Queen Latifah Show was postponed at his request.”

No reason has been given for the decision.

Cosby has faced multiple accusations of sexual assault in the past and settled a lawsuit in 2006, but has never been charged over the allegations.
