‘Game of Thrones’ Star Natalie Dormer Talks Style in December Issue of ‘Cosmopolitan’

You probably recognize Natalie Dormer from one of her roles in two of the biggest pop culture phenomenons happening at the moment. The talented actress has been balancing playing the roles of Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones and Cressida in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1 and found some down timeto chat with Cosmopolitan on the evolution of her own personal style, as well as what it means to have good style in general.

When Dormer sat down with the mag, she reflected on what courage meant to her stating that “Courage isn’t the lack or absence of fear – it’s overcoming it.” Now being that her character from Game of Thrones was prepared to be married to the pure evil King Joffrey for the rest of her life (although the rest of his life came quicker than either of them would have guessed) and is still currently alive, a feat within itself on the series, we feel that taking a cue from her on courage is definitely a smart idea.

Touching on the style side of things, Dormer said that she feels that “Good style – regardless of fads – means the things that suit your body.” In a world where people are obsessed with staying on or even ahead of trends, wearing what works for your unique shape is probably the most important thing you can remember.

When it comes to the role of Cressida and rocking that half-shaved look she’s now known for, Dormer feels that “Shaving half my head was a strong look that meant I could go punkier with my style.” You can see from the photo shoot below that Dormer is definitely doing a nice job at taking advantage of her punkier side.
