Sofia Vergara Initially Wasn’t Interested in ‘Too Handsome’ Boyfriend Joe Manganiello

Sofia Vergara initially turned down now-boyfriend Joe Manganiello because she thought he was “too handsome”.

The Modern Family star began dating the Magic Mike hunk over the summer, but she told comedian Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show on Wednesday that it took some time for her to get used to his good looks.

She admitted, “I had just seen him, far away at events, and I thought he was very handsome but I was not interested. Too handsome. There is such a thing as too much… Or so I thought.”

One of those events included this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., where Manganiello was photographed sneaking a peek at Vergara’s rear end.

Vergara told DeGeneres that she asked him about the famous snap early on in their relationship, saying, “He was so embarrassed because a couple of times after we had talked on the phone I said, ‘Somebody just sent me this picture. What does this mean?’ And he, for like two seconds, didn’t know what to say. But I thought it was funny.”

At the time of the White House event in May, the Colombian beauty was engaged to ex-fiance Nick Loeb – they split later that month.
