‘Breaking Bad’ Director Michelle MacLaren May Helm Wonder Woman Film

Breaking Bad director Michelle MacLaren is reportedly in talks to make her feature filmmaking debut with the hotly-anticipated Wonder Woman movie.

Israeli star Gal Gadot has been cast as the titular superheroine, who will make her first DC Comics film appearance in Man of Steel sequel Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and now MacLaren has been tapped as the frontrunner to take charge of the spin-off, according to Variety.com.

Studio bosses at Warner Bros. have declined to comment on the reports about the Wonder Woman movie, which is expected to be released in June, 2017.

MacLaren’s other directing credits are seriously impressive, including episodes of hit series Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and The Leftovers.

We’re excited to hear that such a successful director is attached to the film and we’re equally excited that a powerful woman could helm the film version of a story about a powerful woman.
