A First Look at Syfy’s Newest Miniseries ‘Ascension’

We’re getting closer to the premiere of Syfy’s new miniseries, Ascension! The three night event starts on Monday, December 15 at 9/8c, but you don’t have to wait until then to catch a sneak peek at the new series.

Ascension begins in 1963, when the U.S. government launched a covert space mission sending hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage aboard the starship Ascension to populate a new world. Nearly 50 years into the journey, as they approach the point of no return, a mysterious murder of a young woman causes the ship’s population to question the true nature of their mission.

Ascension also stars stars Tricia Helfer (known best as Cylon Number Six in Battlestar Galactica) as Viondra Denniger, Brian Van Holt as William Denninger, Andrea Roth as Juliet Bryce and Brandon P. Bell as First Officer Oren Gault.

Also appearing in the show are Tiffany Lonsdale as Chief Astronomer Emily Vanderhaus, the older sister of the murder victim and PJ Boudousque as one of the ship’s maintenance workers.
