A Sneak Peek at Lifetime’s New Series ‘The Sisterhood’

The new Lifetime series The Sisterhood follows five young women who are considering a life-changing decision – taking religious vows to become Catholic nuns. Exploring three convents and seeing nuns during the discernment phase (the process wherein they decide if they want to formally continue on their holy path), we see these girls leave behind everything they’ve known. Their boyfriends, family members and all their worldly possessions are apart of their past.

It’s a world that most of us don’t know much about, and it’s the first time that cameras have been granted access to these three convents: The Carmelites for the Aged and Infirm (Germantown New York), The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence (Chicago, Illino) and The Sisters of St. Joseph the Worker (Walton, Kentucky).
