When Will ‘The Walking Dead’ Return?

When will The Walking Dead return? That is the number one question that fans have after tonight’s mid-season finale episode, ‘Coda.’

The answer is February 8, 2015. Episode 9 will be directed by Greg Nicotero and is written by Scott M. Gimple.

While production for the fifth season has already wrapped in Atlanta. It will be two long months before fans find out what happens next and in the remaining eight episodes of the season.

Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd spoke a bit to E Online on what fans can expect as the rest of the episodes unfold for the season. “I think the goal is to continue the theme of the first season, really, which is an in-depth examination of each character in our band of survivors and where they find themselves emotionally given the acts they’ve had to commit to survive.”

Nothing too revealing there, but then again – anyone attached to the series is pretty good at being as vague as possible when it comes to teases.
