‘Boyhood’ Set to Receive American Riviera Award at Santa Barbara International Film Festival

The honors keep rolling in for the cast of acclaimed Richard Linklater movie Boyhood with Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette set to receive the coveted American Riviera Award at The Santa Barbara International Film Festival next year.

The stars will be feted for their career achievements at the Arlington Theater on February 5.

It will be the first year multiple actors will be honored with the accolade.

Festival director Roger Durling says, “Both have careers filled with significant achievements both on and off camera including their roles in Richard Linklater’s Boyhood, which features some of the most unique performances of the year in a project they worked on for over a dozen years – and proves that they’re artists that continue to evolve and inspire us.”

Past recipients of the accolade include Robert Redford, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sandra Bullock.

Hawke and Arquette are the latest stars to be added to the 2015 honors roll – Steve Carell will be feted with the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award, while Jessica Lange has been named the 2015 Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film recipient.

Boyhood has been the toast of the awards season so far, scoring multiple nominations and accolades including for the British Independent Film Awards, Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards and the New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
