Sony Leak Reveals Producer Calling Angelina Jolie a ‘Spoiled Brat’

The Sony leak is getting messier and messier by the day and now we’ve moved into the Hollywood producers bashing actresses part of the drama. Scott Rudin has blasted Angelina Jolie as a “minimally talented, spoiled brat” in leaked angry emails to a top Sony Pictures executive after the actress objected to news of David Fincher directing the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic.

The alleged private email exchange has been made public by hackers, who illegally gained access to the movie studio’s computer systems and databases last month.

Films including Brad Pitt’s Fury and the upcoming Annie remake were stolen and posted online, while personal details about stars such as Jolie and Cameron Diaz and salary information for The Interview stars Seth Rogen and James Franco were also taken in the cyber raid.

Now a chain of emails between a furious Rudin and Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal has made its way onto the Internet.

The messages reveal Jolie was “upset” with Sony bosses when she heard they’d offered Fincher the Jobs movie, because the scheduling would mean he would not be able to consider taking on her forthcoming Cleopatra film, which she had reportedly put on hold to direct new project Unbroken.

Rudin, who recently worked with Jolie’s husband Brad Pitt on Moneyball, blasted her complaint in an email titled, “YOU BETTER SHUT ANGIE DOWN BEFORE SHE MAKES IT VERY HARD FOR DAVID TO DO JOBS”, and went on to blame the actress-turned-director for the scheduling clash.

In an email in February, he wrote:

“I’m not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for eighteen months so she could go direct a movie.

“I have no desire to be making a movie with her, or anybody, that she runs and that we don’t. She’s a camp event and a celebrity and that’s all and the last thing anybody needs is to make a giant bomb with her that any fool could see coming. We will end up being the laughing stock of our industry and we will deserve it, which is so clearly where this is headed that I cannot believe we are still wasting our time with it…”

He added, “There is NO relationship with any movie star – ANY one — that requires our willingness to prostrate ourselves this way in the face of childish, irresponsible, willful and un-partnerly (sic) behavior.”

Rudin is producing the Jobs film, which will feature Michael Fassbender as the late tech genius. It will be directed by Danny Boyle at Universal Pictures, after it was unexpectedly dropped by Sony last month.

Hackers calling themselves the Guardians of Peace have claimed responsibility for the Sony leaks in recent days, and they have threatened to continue the leaks unless the film company’s executives agree to pull the upcoming movie, The Interview, about two American journalists hired by the CIA to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
