Cicely Tyson to Guest Star on ‘How to Get Away With Murder’

Cicely Tyson is set to reteam with her The Help co-star Viola Davis on her hit ABC drama How to Get Away With Murder.

The veteran actress will guest star on an upcoming episode of the acclaimed mystery series, but her exact role has yet to be revealed.

Tyson, a three-time Emmy winner, has starred in classics including Roots, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman and Fried Green Tomatoes. Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden has also scored a recurring guest role on the show.

The news of Tyson’s casting comes days after Davis earned nominations for the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards and NAACP Image Awards for her role as a hard-hitting lawyer on the series.
