‘Gremlins’ Star Zach Galligan Wants to Reprise Former Role in Reboot

Zach Galligan is eager to reprise his Gremlins role in a planned, big-budget, 3D revival.

Galligan, who starred in both Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch, has confirmed filmmaker Chris Columbus, the writer of the first movie, is working on the new project with original executive producer Steven Spielberg.

No further details have been revealed, but Galligan is hoping he gets to battle the mischievous monsters for a third time.

He says, “I know Spielberg and Chris Columbus are writing a reboot to the first movie. I’ve no idea what the plot will be, but I’d love it if my character was in the film and had kids that could go on the wild Gremlins experience this time around.”
