‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Star Teresa Giudice’s Prison Sentence Reduced

Teresa Giudice has been given something to smile about as she begins her 15-month prison sentence behind bars at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut – she’ll be released two months early.

Giudice and her husband Joe were convicted of fraud charges in October. She was sentenced to 15 months and Joe was slapped with a 41-month sentence for their roles in a bank and mail fraud scandal.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star surrendered to authorities and began her sentence in the early hours of Monday, and just three days in, it appears she’ll be back home by early February, 2016.

According to the Bureau of Prisons website, Giudice will be released on February 5, 2016.

She will complete her sentence at either a halfway house or under home confinement.

Meanwhile, her lawyer James Leonard, Jr. tells Us Weekly magazine that his client is hoping to get a job in the kitchen at the prison, adding, “She’s gonna be just fine.”

While she serves her sentence, her husband Joe will remain at home with their four daughters before he begins his 41-month prison stint.
